Following the events of WandaVision, Agatha is left trapped in her Agnes persona. The spell begins to weaken after the supposed death of Wanda in Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness. The show picks up with Agnes as she slowly regains her memories and embarks on a journey to reclaim her lost powers.

The show tries to emulate the formula of Loki, as it takes us on a trip with the proverbial villain. Whether Agatha will have redemption arc, well you have to watch to find out. But that is the fun now, isn’t it?

Abra-Kadab-Ra

Agatha All Along is mix of mystery and adventure. Our favourite fiend enlists the help of fallen witches to help her as she tries to both open and tread the Witches Road. Relying only on her wits and delightfully delicious art of manipulation, she must both form ad maintain this group of outcasts. She also sees prospect in a young lad, who she takes on as a familiar. (this term was last used in Blade to depict normal humans who work for vampires in hopes they would turn them. I assume the same would apply to witches)

The tone of the show is comedic in nature, with some serious undertones scattered in-between. So essentially very Marvel indeed. It is also a much need break from the more superhero focused world. Exploring the mystical elements of te MCU helps expand the world in a much fresher perspective. And having it explored through a villains eyes, makes it far more entertaining.

Ta-Daaa

The tone filters down from WandaVision, but adds in some darkness, both in tone and actual cinematography. For someone like myself who was quite skeptical of this show when it was announced, I was pleasantly surprised. We need more of these grounded series that explore characters at a deeper level.

And of course there will be a curveball or two, Agatha All Along is after all a Marvel production. Maybe it will be the return of Wanda, or maybe we will get a Mephisto cameo.
