Seems the PS5 may follow hot the heels of its predecessor and win the console war again. Even without the official price released from either brand, the odds are slowly starting to stack up in the numerically correct console. Recent polls have indicated that the market is leaning heavily towards Sony’s sleek machine.

PS5 may owe a huge thanks to its dad the old but still hardworking and very much in circulation PS4. The goodwill earned by the outgoing console seems to be more than long-lasting. Well, that according to recent polls at least.

Taking a minute to look back, who can forget the dismal launch of the X Box One, and its now divorced Kinetic. It was something Microsoft never recovered from. It got so bad that Sony was outselling them at an alarming rate. Eventually, Microsoft stopped publishing X Box sales purely out of embarrassment.

It may have been a long time ago, but this is a gaming market and gamers never forgot. Clearly the current polls are a testament to this. The real kicker is that X Box seems to actually have the superior machine this time around. Well at least on raw specs alone. Then again the showcase that Sony unleashed upon us, surely had more than a few in awe. Not to mention the magical like custom HDD that does all kinds of nifty little things.

The point is that brand loyalty seems to go a long way and Sony is capitalizing on it. Players would rather invest in this long term relationship with a more stable partner. Even if X Box drops kicks the PS5 price-wise it may still have an uphill battle for the throne.
