YouTube is still one of the best places to consume original content. Like most of you, we love watching reviews and skits on the free site. And having our own channel has given us greater insight into the hard work that goes into making even the shortest of videos. And as such we will be letting you guys discover the fantastic local and international talent that we are currently watching. Hopefully, you guys love them too and support them.
Happe Chappe
Daniel Chappe has put together a lovely channel dedicated to television and movies. He gives us trailer breakdowns and reviews. I love the fact he takes time to actually do two reviews. One spoiler-free and the other, well, no so much. One of my all-time favorite videos was his theories for the endgame. He actually got quite a few rights. So if love movies are sure to subscribe to his channel and catch up on all his fun videos.
ZHM Entertainment
Zaid is a talented MC who has managed to combine his gift of commanding a crowd with his love with comics, movie, and collecting. His channel covers a lot of ground. From Movie and toys reviews to giveaways. Currently, I am into his Comic bit. This is where he advises viewers on what current comics to buy. This is actually very helpful. But he adds a little icing by giving away free comics as well. Yes, that’s right. Free comics for simply watching.
Carbon8TV
This is a fairly new channel but is setting new standards in local YouTube creativity. It is focused on the car culture of SA. The shows are funny yet informative. If you in cars and would like to keep track of the local scene then I suggest subscribing to the channel. They also have a lot of fun references to pop culture which brought a wry smile to my dial. It will really interesting to see how this channel develops.
Comic-Con Africa
Of Course, the CCA channel has to be listed. Putting out fun videos like the recent cosplay video. A great channel to keep up to date with news and also just to enjoy some great innovative content. Stay glued to this one as the event draws closer.
EXP Streams
Another multifaceted channel. Spearheaded by the fun and charming Ruan, the channel has some great content. A defining trademark is the amazing visual effects that this guy puts out. He really does have a keen eye for videography and is an all-round fun guy to listen to. EXP has a lot of fun projects coming soon, so subscribe now.
Artist Alley
This is a brand spanking new channel, but what fabulous idea. Artist Alley of the course focuses on artists. Nope, it’s all about those legendary pencil masters who make the comics we adore. It is a fantastic way to find out more about what makes these people tick and how they can create such beautiful works of art. Currently, they are interviewing a lot of the artist who will be at Comic-Con Africa.
Project Mayhem
The guys at Project Mayhem are both store owners and content creators. Their content ranges from unboxings to some rather fun features. A personal favorite is their Halloween skits last year, which was fun and creative. We had had the privilege of working with them on many occasions. So if you looking for some fun skits or just product information check out their channel. A key insider told me of their upcoming projects and yes it will be mayhem… so subscribe now or get left in the aftermath.
Nerdgasm
Of course, we had to squeeze our own channel in, and boy do we have some great projects coming along. While the Weekly Update will be moving to Facebook, there are many fantastic videos due out. From product reviews and yes, Comic-Con Africa. We will be there and We will be live. We will be putting together some great recorded video.
