At this point even isolation would not have stopped you from hearing the rumor that Micheal Keaton is in serious talks to once again wear the cape and cowl. It’s a fanboy dream that Keaton should return as an old and beaten Batman. He was the unlikely cast that won the hearts of countless fans over the years.

As the story goes, Keaton will be the Batman he was as per the two Burton movies but old and weary. He may fill the place of what should be Thomas Wayne. This part I hope is not true as a certain Jeffery Dean Morgan would fit that role nicely. And play on more to the original comic story of Flashpoint.

Keaton should be developed as a additional and critical new element to the story. The first Batman the Flash encounters and the one that helps him to navigate the multiverse. Together they encounter all the other Batman. This will also allow Bale to have a small cameo. I rule out anything bigger than that as he continually states only Nolan can bring back his Dark Knight. This situation also allows us to be introduced to Patterson’s Batman, again in small but noticeable cameo.

The so called plan is to have Keatons Batman remain in the DCEU as a guide. This is actually quite brilliant. With this version of Batman having cleaned up Gotham and now just waiting to die, Flash could be the jolt of electricity needed to reignite the flames of justice.

DC May have stumbled into pure gold with this idea. Opening up the multiverse ties in all there live action endeavors. And it opens up worlds of possibilities for them as well as get out of jail free card for the previous mistakes. Throw in that whispers of a certain love interest of his alps returning and you have a recipes for success.
