The rumour mill has ben churning some juicy stories lately. Right on top of the pile is the succulent revelation that Ryan Reynolds has pitched Deadpool 3 to Marvel and its may be greenlighted. The premise is based of the mini-series Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. The title says it all. Having Deadpool kill of the Fox Marvel Universe would be the ideal send of to all the characters. Also it will allow Hugh Jackman to pick up the claws one last time without it tarnishing Logan too much.

The recent video conference between Ryan and some of the cast was simply added fuel to the fire. Ryan being Ryan even taunts the with the so many timelines joke. Having both generations may even by possible with some clever story telling. However if pressed for a choice I would choose the original cast. Sure Last Stand was a hot mess of a movie, but I retain my statement that X-Men 1 and 2 are genre defining movies that helps pave the way for the MCU.

Deadpool 3 would be great way for universe hoping Wade to kill off… err say good bye to the Fox world and find his way here, in the MCU. More than that even Cable could come through as he tries to stop his friend from his murderous spree. If Disney feels ok with a Thanos looking Cable. Which I think they would as old purple boy is out of the picture for the foreseeable future.

Having Deadpool fall in the MCU would also allow him to keep his mete approach without it conflicting too much with the universe. Characters can easily brush off his babble with the notion is from another existence. Thus allowing audience to enjoy all the fourth wall breaking humour without it compromising the world that took a decade to build.

Lastly, this eases audiences into the acceptance of a new cast of X-Men without too much remorse. It further accelerates the multiverse that will be set up in Dr Strange 2. All in all, Ryan has found the missing link needed for both him and his merry mutants to finally join the MCU. It is the perfect pitch and from what we heard, Disney is warming up to it nicely.
